i have a bag of corn and its infested with weevils. i use it only for popcorn and im guessing the popcorn machine kills all the bacteria left by the weevils.
is it dangerous to eat popcorn after that?
i was hoping to get a positive answer like " no its perfectly fine as long as it goes thru the intense heat" but o well i just ate a pack of that popcorn.
i got given a popcorn machine for christmas and it works great but i cant seem to make it salty. it says not to add anything apart from the corn to the machine so i sprinkled on some salt after it was cooked but it just fell to the bottom of the bowl.so i then tried grounding the salt up a bit but the same thing happened. i then read you pour on some melted butter first then add the salt, mix together then eat but the popcorn just went soggy as soon as i put the butter on. i have seen on the net proper popcorn salt for sale but cant afford the delivery from the states to the uk. any ideas?? me and my son prefer the salted popcorn to other types
During Passover, Jews cannot consume "chametz," defined as five grains -wheat, oats, barley, rye and spelt – that have come in contact with moisture for more than 18 minutes. Many Jews observe an additional Passover prohibition that includes rice, lentils, beans – and corn.
Out of curiosity, would that include popcorn since that certainly didn’t come in contact with moisture (at least not the one made in a machine or the microwave)?

the expiry date on my popcorn is mar.06 2010. the seeds come flying out of the popcorn popper along with the popped corn. I thought it was my machine so I bought a new one. Same thing. I get about a quarter of popcorn from one batch. what is wrong
So, i go to the store and i get the bag that says, peas and corn, and i take all the peas out and leave the corn in there, and i put the corn in the microwave, and it doesn’t do it properly. i don’t understand. it looks and tastes nothing like the ones at the movies. do they have some special machine or is my microwave broke?, please help me, i love popcorn
I recently purchased a second hand popcorn machine as an incentive for the employees at my office. After making a few batches and handing them out throughout the office I began to notice that something wasn’t right. The machine was leaving a large number of kernels unpopped and was also making a strange gurgling noise. Upon inspection I found that there was a dead rat stuck in the tube that distributes the oil to the pan where the corn is popped. Judging by the state of the rat it had been there for a long time. I don’t feel like I should use the machine anymore (even with the rat removed), but I don’t know how to explain to my employees why I am getting rid of their reward right after I brought it in. What should I do?
We make a lot of popcorn in our machine at the office. The buttered popcorn oil (we pop the corn in) is getting quite expensive. I would like to make my own.
i have a popcorn machine where it just heats the corn until it pops… how many calories would there be in 100g of this, if i didn’t add anything to it? (e.g sugar, salt, butter)
I have a open corn maker on a cart, like the ones you find at bars. What is the best butter/oil to use to make it taste like bar popcorn. I’ve tried several kinds but they just don’t do it for me! Please help!
